Indians are happy with the arrival of Donald Trump, but Europe is in tension, shocking revelation in the survey

Last Updated:January 15, 2025, 23:49 IST A survey by Oxford University has revealed which countries are most unhappy and which countries are most happy after Donald Trump took power. In this, India has been placed in the category of the happiest countries. Donald Trump and Narendra Modi. (File Photo)Donald Trump will take oath as the President of America on January 20. But before his swearing in, there is a strange stir in the world. Europe is in tension as to what Trump is going to do. Canada and China do not understand. They have already staked claim on Greenland. On the other hand, there is an uneasiness in Muslim countries also. But India is the happiest. It is not us, it has come to light in a survey. The European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) and Oxford University conducted a survey on the Changing World. It was revealed that many countries are in tension due to Trump's attitude. Because unlike President Joe Biden, Trump bargains a lot. They understand the meaning of international relations only as business. Because of this, most of the countries of America are shaken. Trump appears to have a friendly relationship with adversaries like Russia and China, while he is treating NATO countries like Canada or Denmark like enemies. ECFR-Oxford report shows that non-aligned countries like India and Saudi Arabia are happy with Trump's arrival. Because they believe that they can get more benefits in dealings with Trump, whereas Biden was surrounded only by European countries. Europe is angry because it stands to lose the most from the election. The survey found that India leads among the countries that welcome Trump and Europe leads among the 'Never Trumpers'. 82 percent people in India are happy with Trump's victory. Whereas 28 percent people in Europe and 50 percent people in the United Kingdom are unhappy with his arrival. Only 29 percent people in Europe and 19 percent people in the UK are happy with Trump assuming power. Among non-European countries, South Korea is the only country where people are not excited about Trump's victory. Trump has threatened to invade Denmark to annex Greenland. Has expressed his intention to merge Canada into his country. Not only this, it has been announced to bring Panama under its control. He has also said that if any NATO ally does not listen to him, he will encourage Russia to “do whatever it wants”. His allies, from Elon Musk to Tulsi Gabbard, support allies or even adversaries like China and Russia over long-standing US policies.
