The rebel-led government has banned Israeli and Iranian people from entering Syria. The new leadership has taken this decision after Bashar al-Assad left power last month. News outlet 'France 24' has revealed this quoting sources. Flights to the international airport in Syria's capital Damascus resumed on January 7. The situation has returned to normal a month after the removal of Bashar al-Assad from power. There are only a few airlines that have announced the resumption of flights to Syria. According to the report, authorities have told Syrian airlines not to allow Israelis and Iranians to board planes coming into the country. Technically there is a war going on between Syria and Israel. Because Syria does not accept the existence of Israel. This is the reason why Israeli citizens have not been allowed to enter the country for a long time. Entry of people of Iran was also stopped when Bashar al-Assad was ruling Syria. There were better relations with Iran. But as soon as there was a change of power in Syria, relations between the two countries went into cold storage. Syria's interim authorities have not publicly announced these orders, but two airlines are complying. In the report, a source at a travel agency in Damascus said that the company has received instructions from Qatar Airlines that at present it is not possible for Iranians to book flights to travel to Damascus. However, the Transport Ministry has not given any such instructions. Iranian people will have to take permission first. After Bashar al-Assad's departure from power, Qatar Airlines was the first to start flights to Damascus. After almost a decade, Turkish Airlines said on Wednesday that it would resume flights to Damascus from January 23. The airline's website said in a statement that in accordance with recent decisions of the Syrian Arab Republic, certain rules have been made regarding passengers entering the country. Citizens of all countries, except Israel, are allowed to enter the country. However, it also said that Iranians will be allowed to enter the country only after prior authorization. This clearly shows that the entry of Iranians into Syria is almost closed.
