Mistakes than can lead to poisoning by sanitizer

A study conducted at AIIMS found an 8-fold increase in poisoning from hand sanitizers during the lockdown period. Ingestion of sanitizers was mostly accidental, but there were cases of intentional ingestion for suicide. The US FDA warns that even a small amount of hand sanitizer can cause alcohol poisoning in children, and that sanitizers do not kill all germs.
